I made a few minor changes to ...But It Often Rhymes, and I forgot to talk about them in the blogpost where I talked about ...But It Often Rhymes. So that wasn't very Cheerilee of me.

It's always funny when I find little manuscript fragments on my hard drive, because when I read them, I'm hit with the sinking realization that this is how the story would have gone if I hadn't had the good sense to reevaluate what I'd written. What's funnier is finding entire half finished (or even fully finished) alternate versions of chapters. For instance, the original version of the fifth chapter that I'd hoped was gone forever. It's not gone forever, and that makes me miffed.

Yeah posh is probably going to stumble into first place again
(that's my new favorite Twilight gif)
Whenever I win, or even just rank, in a contest of any sort, I feel like Mabel Pines in that Gravity Falls bit, where all the characters are playing cards and Mable keeps winning, even though she doesn't know what game they're playing or what the rules are.
Which is to say "Posh Update," rather than "Posh is going on a date." Sadly.
(guys, is Glimmy... is she okay...?)
So as the author notes stated in the last chapter, the battle with Gwyndolin went through a few revisions due to finding out what was originally planned didn't work as well in execution and also new material from both the MLP show and the Dark Souls games coming out that changed the dynamic of things. For those who were wondering why Gwyndolin was such a talkative enemy, it's because he wasn't meant to survive past this one segment, thus I only had a limited amount of space to fit in all his
A friend of mine thought that this was good content, but my proofreader thought I should cut it because it repeats some things. So I decided I'll leave it here for all of you to make of it what you will.

It's the grand finale of the Solid Snake and Twilight Sparkle Show! Part... three? Three and four? To be honest, even though they're numbered 13 and 14, I think of both chapters together as separate parts of 13, but as has been pointed out to me, having nearly 40k words divided across two documents does qualify as two chapters. So... part three and four of the Solid Snake and Twilight Sparkle show.
A few things to cover before we get started:
I know. "Again? Who cares! It's cut stuff from an old fic!"
I've realized something, though, as I've been gathering this up: I'm doing this for me. I'm laying something to rest. I'm letting go of a lingering sense of what might-have-been, which in its own way is a part of the story of what ended-up-being.
Maybe it's even the last part of the story.
As I mentioned last time: there's a mountain of cut content from To Serve In Hell, including some nuggets that I very much regretted having to take out. I've already shared a couple of those stronger moments with you, and discussed the thought process that lead to both adding and ultimately removing them.
To Serve In Hell generated over 20,000 words of cut content, representing more than a fifth of its final length. Not all of it is fit for presentation. However, a few bits still strike me as memorable or interesting, and I'd like to take a moment to share a couple of them.
There are spoilers ahead... but at this point I figure most people who are going to read Hell have already done so. For anyone else, maybe this'll spark some interest?
Thought I'd put this up for Posterity's sake, whoever Posterity is.
The forest was on fire and it wasn’t my fault.
No seriously it wasn’t my fault.
You have no idea how good it is to say that and not feel like I’m bending the truth into my own personal corkscrew for a change.
So Crusaders of the Lost Mark was Season 5's musical episode. While Diamond Tiara had her fair share of singing, she apparently had a verse in We'll Make Our Mark that was cut for time.
Sucks, because it's amazing.
I am excited to say, reworks on the next section have been completed and we are moving on to the edits, which should be relatively quick, given that it is a much shorter section than last time. I am trying to get faster with these. I've even put some time into writing chapter five. Also hey look at that! 250 Views! Makin' milestones!
Hey guys, Bill the Storyteller here! It’s been a while, but I hope you’re well and that the new year has so far been treating you well. With the recent release of Chapter 4 of Preston Marlowe Goes to Equestria, I thought I’d take the time to put up a blog post on some behind-the-scenes/cut content of the story before continuing on with the next chapters. Consider this as a mini series for PMGtE from me, but also a way to give myself an excuse to write something.
The new cover art is complete, and I've added back in the previously cut content and a few other things in what I'm calling "Weekend With The Dragon Lord +"! Check it out!
So I had today off from work, and I had wanted to spend nearly all of it if possible working on that new cover art for "Weekend With The Dragon Lord" that I keep talking about. But I also woke up with a mild cold this morning and wasn't feeling up to doing anything for most of today except binge-rewatch the Slow-Mo Guys on YouTube, so that hasn't happened quite like I'd hoped. Additionally, I discovered today while doing what little work I have been able to do on said cover that
